What makes muscles grow? – Jeffrey Siegel

Posted on May 31, 2020 by admin

View full lesson:

We have over 600 muscles in our bodies that help bind us together, hold us up, and help us move. Your muscles also need your constant attention, because the way you treat them on a daily basis determines whether they will wither or grow. Jeffrey Siegel illustrates how a good mix of sleep, nutrition and exercise keep your muscles as big and strong as possible.

Lesson by Jeffrey Siegel, animation by Brett Underhill.

I always thought dieting is expensive and 'healthy' food costs a lot. Little did I know. I got my diet plan from NextLevelDiet and I was able to select foods that fit my budget.

Thanks for sharing, I believe very strongly that the concept of tearing and damaging is completely wrong and misleading, and science interpretation gone wrong……. it is even more sad to hear this from professionals as many out there profess another misconception which is "no pain no gain" ….. and I have replaced this with a more profound or accurate quote which is "no pain is my gain" …… data shows many have been injured by practicing "no pain no gain" and I wish here to help many in understanding the difference between "no pain no gain" vs "no pain is my gain" ….. furthermore I have researched that which is called here muscle tear or muscle damage is actually and profoundly another biological effect ………. avoid at all cost damage and breaking ……… it is illogical to think otherwise ……… pain in our body is more like the amber light or yellow light in the traffic signal which is meant not to slow down but to stop as soon as possible way ahead of the red light and once you "feel" the green light as in using your vision sense then proceed and rest as soon as you see the next yellow light ahead and continue driving your body carefully into old age ….. muscle exercise for cardio or mass is cyclical: move, feel pain, stop, rest to allow regeneration, if no pain start again, ……. I know many out there have been manipulated some times benevolently to believe in "no pain no gain" but you should see the thousands injured by this dangerous Russian roulette "prescription" that stops aging well.

I trained myself everyday and life heavy than my own 150lb. I only gained 2 to 3 lb extra with the amount of food, but I never reach 200lbs as my goal to gain. Other college students they gained more than 200lbs in few weeks just lift lighter than me. I did as they told me that I should to take whey protein and amount of foods every 2-3 hours and dietary chew, but I only gained less than 10lbs for whole years.
I right now I found out people who gained muscle just few weeks were cheated supplies to benefit hot beaches.

Personally, I don't like gyms. They are so crowded and I can't do my workout there. I decided to take bodyweight training plan from NextLevelDiet. Training plan is great and I can do it from home. They also give you diet plan which supports your fitness goals.
