I’m late watching this but it was nice seeing people trying to get to some kind of normal. It’s 2021 now but New York really went through hard times last year. ♥️

All of the creative people who make NYC unique are fleeing due to High Crime and High Rent! Go and try to make a video showing the unique culture of NYC and you will become depressed because that NYC is no longer existent!
Nobody wants to pay 2600 per month to live in a box! It doesn't matter if it's Manhattan or the Bronx! The city has been ruined!

I walked these same spots two days before New Year’s Eve — and it couldn’t have been more different of a scene, LOL! Tons of TOURISTS!!! Where the hell did they all come from? I traveled from my place in the South Bronx down to Wollman Rink in Central Park first. Tourists traveling in packs there! Most were from Spain and South America it seemed, judging by their brands of Spanish. Some families from India as well. And then most of the rest were Americans from other parts of the country. Mostly from the northeast and the Midwest. Then I walked down 5th Ave to Rockefeller Center. Security had the place blocked off starting at 5th Ave, with long lines waiting to get into the Center proper. Next I walked to the Winter Village to the ice rink there at Bryant Park. It was so crowded in there that I had to wait for people to pass me by sometimes just to get through. Especially by the stalls. Again, most seemed like out of towners. I must admit, however … it was crowded in general in the city so close to NYE, but still nowhere near as bad as in pre-COVID years. I would say it was around 60% as crowded as a normal year would be at the same time. Still, far more people than I’ve seen in NYC since the start of the pandemic. At least, insofar as these tourist-magnet sites are concerned.

As I said in another video, NYC isn't dying but rather undergoing a necessary transformation. Some of it looks and sounds scary but some of it is welcome like affordable rents and probably more cleanliness as a response to the pandemic.

Manhattan is screwed… There’s human shit and mental patients everywhere. The only real “spikes” or “surges” are in violent crimes. It’ll be a decade before it MIGHT come back thanks to Cuomos bs restrictions.
