Success, failure and the drive to keep creating | Elizabeth Gilbert

Posted on December 30, 2020 by admin

Watch with subtitles in 30 languages on ted.com:

Elizabeth Gilbert was once an “unpublished diner waitress,” devastated by rejection letters. And yet, in the wake of the success of ‘Eat, Pray, Love,’ she found herself identifying strongly with her former self. With beautiful insight, Gilbert reflects on why success can be as disorienting as failure and offers a simple — though hard — way to carry on, regardless of outcomes.

TED Talks is a daily podcast of talks and performances from TED, where the world’s leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). Look for talks on Technology, Entertainment and Design — plus science, business, global issues, the arts and much more.

Very interesting woman, I simply adore everything she says. I can't help it but notice her emphasis on the success of her book Eat, pray love. In a way she seems kind of going through the misery of achievement…

Sorry for my English but in my country, if you wanna be a rich man, you can never have a chance to do what you really want to do because your living situation decide everything . You have to do things that making money immediatly. Cause im just a poor boy, but im love paitting and i do it since i was a child. The reaction i got from people is spiting & despising. She so lucky to live in a country that every skill or field are equally appreciated.
