This provides a walk around to resolve issues in SQL Server while importing data from Excel.
The problem statement is as follows : The ‘Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0’ provider is not registered on the local machine. (System.Data)
Steps to do :
1. Open the original Excel file.
2. Save it as Microsoft Excel 97-2003 Worksheet (.xls)
3. Repeat importing it into SQL Server.

MIL GRACIASSS, ME AYUDO MUCHOOO
if I use in Winform Vb.net instead of SQL, now what can I do?
Downgrading "Super [Obscured]" Excel ."xlsx" down to almost open standard 2007-2013 ".xls". Flawless. Thank you!
Muchísimas gracias!!!!! me salvaste de un desvelo revisando que estaba mal
thanks!
If you have already installed the Access Redistributable but still have problems, here is a remedy I discovered:
(1) On the taskbar, click Windows and scroll down the installed app to 'Microsoft SQL Server YYYY' (where YYYY is the year) and click it.
(2) A list of apps should appear underneath. One of them should be 'SQL Server YYYY Import and Export'.
(3) Click that and the DTS Wizard runs. I was able to import data from Excel 365 without any problems.
It appears that running the wizard outside of SSMS solves the problem.
Regards.
