Another issue with my photoshop elements. Was using the color replacement tool and it was working fine and now it won't do a thing. Something must be wrong with my program because it doesn't make sense that it would stop working all of a sudden.

Great stuff👍👍👍 I'm just learning elements. Do you have a video on how to "quickly" save to jpeg? I'm struggling with that. Thanks!!

I'm watching tons of your videos. I've tried just about everything you've shown, but maybe I've just missed something.
I have this photo: https://imgur.com/o1tBSC2 I've cut the dog in the foreground out, and I'm trying to get rid of the lighting, or the contrast on the right side of the dog. Everything I've tried just looks like garbage, and just not natural.

I have Elements 14. I am considering upgrading to Elements 18. In your opinion, based on the changes made to the different versions 14 thru 18, if I upgrade at all, which version do you recommend. After that, I will purchase one of your instruction dvd's.I'm sure each version will have plus and minus'. thank you.

Great vids. Does your training dvd's contain videos like this one and is there any way to get a "table of contents" to your training dvd's before I purchase them [PSE 15]?

This is a very interesting video, I did consider myself pretty knowledgeable in elements until I watched this, lol, now not so much. I see I have a lot more to study before I could do this on my own. I have your tutorials on disc and watch them several times a week but this one was over. I hope I can get to this level someday.

Separating the background from the tree is utterly amazing. It sure beats using the erasure tool. Thanks, George!

I was wrong, it does work in elements 11. Just make sure that the Magic Wand Tolerance is set at 84, and the three boxes are unchecked.

This does not work in Elements 11! I have followed your instructions exactly a dozen times and when I add the layer mask to Background copy 3 the mask is still white! I have wasted hours and days trying to get this to work.

That was the the best tutorial on Youtube on how to clear the area that the refine edge could not affect. You have now given me a technique that is quick and simple while retaining the detail of those inner areas were refine edge does not work. Thanks.

How would you go about creating a more realistic sky by retaining some of the clouds in the picture you used in this tutorial?

George, I know that it has been a while since you posted this, but wanted to let you know how much I like and appreciate this lesson. I have come back to this many times in doing work with hard selections and it works like a charm. As long as you can make a difference in the colors to start, then you are off and running! My second favorite has to be the lesson on changing colors on the cars, these are both masterpieces!!!

Thank you for all you do!

    Rich

Excellent video. Thank you. I loved the techniques of selecting the sky and the tree. I also did not know about refining the gradient editor. Looking forward to your next video.

Thanks for another awesome video. I have used a blue photo filter a few times where the sky was blown out, so your technique will be a big help.

Beautiful work George!!! Got hung up a bit on the color changer but finally have got the concept in my head. My defaults were much of my problem. I really loved the color of the gradient you used so I saved it to my default gradients and called it sunset George Pierson, am sure I will use it again! A Very clever way you got the selections made around the tree! This is really an impossible selection to make, your workaround made it incredibly easy!!!! Tip of the year because we are all trying to find ways to do a better selection. This was the best I have seen to date!!

Thanks again for amazing me again!!!
