A perfect demonstration of spirituality in the natural world backed by solid science. The importance of this approach managing forests the world over cannot possibly be over-estimated. Thank you Suzanne Simard.

The forest is older than human civilization and bears and bugs. If you choose to build in the forest you must accept the forests right to eject all things above the ground using fire, the natural defense mechanism. To kill a forest is easy but you must be prepared to grow a forest or die.

she has such love of the forest, she proved it by injection of radioactive substance's in to these trees she loved so much, to prove her hypothesis, and make a living…
God can you imagine what she might do to a husband or child she loved, of course to advance her Lilith career to make up for having a dead womb, or no husband, guessing, but she is right, and I do respect and commend her standing up, and living her dream, and respectfully say thank you for confirmation… good luck, stop hurting trees unless it's self defence please, oh and they don't like being hugged! lol lil levity

This is poorly thought through. Isn't it also possible that the tree that is sugar depleted is simply TAKING sugar from the root system of the carbon rich tree? Perhaps the trees have become adapted to stealing from one another. An act of blind survival that gives the illusion of cooperation.

When I feel lost, I always know that I can find my way again by visiting the woods. Trees offer us guidance and we can not continue to continue our ignorance of this fact.

A tree doesn't allow another tree to grow near it. But a seedling growing out of the fruit of the old tree, the seedling is not killed, but allowed to grow. I wonder if they have feeling like humans.

strong mother fecundity also happens in rockfish species, their eggs rear stronger and if you remove these older mothers from the ecosystem the young may die and dwindling the population

Ummm… I bet the Native peoples are watching this and saying, “yeah, we’ve known this stuff since we’ve been here, we tried to tell you, but you just kept killing us and telling us we were savages”. And I am not taking away from her valuable work, I’m just pointing out our own hubris when it comes to other species.

ao, science is proving what tree huggers know…. I am not calling hippies tree huggers, tree huggers are those that know that God put His Spirit into everything.. which in turn gives everything the ABILITY TO LOVE only humans and angels choose to hate, due to the infection of SIN…. NOT ONLY the ability to LOVE but to communicate that Love… Trees and plants they Love to be Loved by us.. so hug them, touch them talk to them from your spirit to theirs spirit… they will hear you and feel you and receive your love and give theirs to you… or do we need some scientist to prove that first?

Wow! my understanding A giant in a Tiny Package One if the smallest seeds had packaged within in the biggest living on earth- the giant sequoia tree, it grow over 300 feet high four feet absomutely ground its diameter may be 36 feet One tree may contain enough wood to build 50 six- room houses the two- foot- thick bark is flavored with tannin that repels insects and its spongy, fibrous texture makes it almost as fire proof as asbestos its roots cover three or four acres. its lives over 300 years Yet the seeds that a sequoia tree rains down by the millions are not much bigger than a pinhead surrounded by tiny wings. A puny man standing at a sequoia's base can only gaze upward in silent awe at its massive grandeur Does it make sense to believe that the shaping of this majestic giant and of the tiny seed that packages it was not by design

I live next to a park and after a storm a few years ago, one of my favourite little trees had been felled by the strong winds. It couldn’t be saved so the rangers left the trunk as a log where people can sit to enjoy the views…The one thing that stuck in my mind was the sadness I felt at the loss of the beautiful tree, it was quite baffling to me how I’d taken it so badly….I still sit on the log today! 💕

the real life superhumans who really influence the future. not the celebrities or sports personalities. The audience is these shows are so happy that the future is safe when they listen to words of wisdom from legends of science. I feel ashamed top exist in a society where we encourage greed by remaining silent.
