On this video we want to show you how to install the driver for the Intel C600 Series Chipset SAS RAID Controller card that comes on board with the Dell Precision T3600 Workstation.
In this case we are using this computer with Windows 10 Operating System.

Thank you very much for this video, I worked for me in a T5600 too. I was trying to use the ports for the rest of the HDDs and it was impossible until now, because the driver from Dell didn´t work.

Thanks you soo much!! It also worked for me!!!! Even paid software like Driver Booster wasn't able to solve my problem….You are legend…
My dell t3600 doesnt go to bios , I press f2 like you say and then it detects my raid card config and then a window pops up for like 1 second then computer boots up to desk top. I'm not sure what the options in that 1 second pop up but yes no bios screen?
Thankx sir
I struggled with this on a T3600 for a few weeks. Could not install win10 due to C600 driver incompatibility. I ended up using this dell driver for the C600 chipset: downloads.dell.com/…/RSTe_f6_iaStorS_64_ZPE.exe Note that this may be an older driver than you currently have installed. The 2013 C600 driver was not win10 compatible, but in my situation this 2012 driver allowed the win10 install to complete. (I had to manually select the driver to install as device manager thought the 2013 driver was 'better') Once this driver was installed my win10 install completed and the system is running in RAID1 on the C600 controller. Did not need to install win10 using a different drive.
For info: the driver can be installed AFTER you install Windows 10 on an SSD (and discover the 'disk visibility' problem). The Dell site says you have to supply the driver at installation time – but this is not necessary. It works instantly; you don't even have to reboot.
Thanks so much for this. It worked like a charm, after 2 months of pain and frustration! I cannot imagine why Dell didn't just issue a Windows 10 driver update. Interestingly, the driver concerned seems to be just the standard Windows 7 driver from 2013! Microsoft has thrown in something else (as you can see towards the end of the video) but fortunately this is included in the driver download.
Sir your SAS hdd are connected to the sas card?
Sir does this also works on T3500?
The driver can be downloaded directly from Dell. I chose this way just because of virus threats. Not stating World Electro Parts is doing anything wrong, just would rather download from the OEM. Once you have the file – follow his advice, fixed my Win7 to Win10 upgrade issues. Here's the link – remove the spaces: dell.com / support / home / us / en / 04 / drivers / driversdetails?driverid=jv4jn
Upgraded from win 7 Pro to win 10 Pro and lost my drive and was getting worried. This procedure and the linked files worked like a charm! Thank you for your help, it is truly appreciated.
Thank you for providing this video.
I've been trying to upgrade a Dell T7600 workstation from Windows 7 to 10.
Install first failed saying this needed attention:
Intel C600 Series Chipset SAS RAID Controller
I don’t use RAID so thought I could get rid of this device. First I uninstalled the driver. On reboot the system re-installed the driver. So I uninstalled it and rashly chose to remove the software from my computer. Now the system won’t boot normally (only by Last known good configuration).
When I ran the second download TheJackyBear gave (64 bit) , I got to the warning “…you will not be able to uninstall this driver after installation”. That lead me to believe it’s not the same driver I had before, since I was able to uninstall that, so I cancelled the installation.
Would appreciate your advice – thanks!
Thank you very much my friend, I don't like you 2 because it doesn't let me
Thank you very much! =)
I have the same computer with RAID1 and cannot upgrade to Win 10. Dell says The Intel Rapid Storage driver Version: 3.7.4.1004 ,A03 (or newer) needs to be installed in Windows 7 before you upgrade. Dell, however, does not provide this driver for the T3600 even after calling support. My question is, can I install the Windows 8 Drivers you are talking about under Win 7 before upgrading, or will the system crash? Or should I image my RAID drive, install Win 10, like Santiago did, and then upgrade the drivers as you have shown, and then transfer the image to the RAID Drive? Suggestions?
I have the same computer. followed your instructions but windows did not find a sas driver.
I just purchased this exact model and after upgrading to Windows 10 pro, found the problem with the missing driver. I actually had to connect the hard drive to the regular sata controller to allow the Windows upgrade to complete successfully. I followed the instructions and links in this video and completed the driver install with no more issues. Thanks!
