  1. What's real kool is that I own a Chrome book so I don't need to install software, neither CD or Download. But it took me a long time to figure it out. Wish it would have said that in the manual.

  7. Network setup was unsuccessful.

    – Make sure you select the right network name (SSID).

    – Restart your router (turn it off and then on), then try to connect

    to it again.

    – The printer can only connect to a network that supports

    2.4 GHz connections. If your router offers both 2.4 GHz and

    5 GHz connections, make sure the 2.4 GHz connection is

    enabled.
    (NOTE: Turning off 2.4 GHZ channel will fail the router connection even if already set up the connection/established connection) The 2.4 GHZ MUST be on always for Printer to use WiFi via Router. ( I am looking at mine as I type this message..XP – 440 )
    – If you see a firewall alert message, click Unblock or Allow to

    let setup continue.

    – If your network has security enabled, make sure you enter your

    network password (WEP key or WPA passphrase) correctly. Be

    sure to enter your password in the correct case.

    Basically, you have to have both 2.4 GHZ and 5 GHZ wifi on, on the router. WPS it… it connects to printer. Soon as you turn off 2.4 GHZ on the router and only wish to use 5 GHZ, the printer disconnects from the Router. I now will have to just do the device to printer connection option (Wi-Fi Direct).

My friend set this up for me and was able to print stuff out when he stopped by so if someone could tell me what im doing right that because its not printing out anything i have the 8and half inch by 11 or something like that i have it measured up and theres plenty of ink in the printer please someone help me??

  18. Is there a way to store the wireless password on the XP-440 printer? It's a pain to have to go through the whole wireless setup and retype my password everytime I want to print something. There must be a way to store the password into the printer's memory.

  24. Does the 440 come with a USB cord or some type of cable? I won't be able to connect wirelessly, is that possible with this printer?
