Posted on September 16, 2020 by admin

Bigger conferences and exhibitions are making a comeback in Singapore. From October, organisers can apply to pilot events with up to 250 people. It is part of progressive efforts to reshape and revive Singapore’s battered MICE industry.

This is a bad move. Too early. Need vaccination first before doing this. Are they waiting for trouble then take action?

are we gonna swab test all the international visitors prior to the conferences? if not, and if we also don't have the mandatory 14-days quarantine for visitors, how can we be assured that there arent going to be any any asymptomatic cases at the conferences? i'm pretty sure the participants will also want to visit other locations in singapore, try our local food etc. so we are willing to risk reintroducing cases into the community? i get the need to get the influx of money from international markets, but i question the timing of it all, especially when the rest of the world is still in a bad shape.

Yes, I like big come back … it means the 3 digit virus spread is also coming back. Well done. Why 250 just go no limits.

So you can have 250 strangers in a conference hall but not more than 5 people to visit a family member at their house. That’s progress!

Remember the air show and the cluster at Shang-Gi-Lah after a international conference? Still want to risk it? When you have big international events people from all over the world will attend and you have people from highly infected countries coming too.
